Imagine tender, perfectly seasoned ground beef, sautéed to perfection with aromatic garlic, and tossed with crisp and vibrant broccoli florets. But that’s not all; we’re adding a touch of brown sugar to create a sauce that’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory. This stir-fry is not just a flavor explosion; it’s also a lifesaver on busy evenings when you need dinner on the table fast. Plus, it’s an excellent way to sneak in some veggies for your little ones (and maybe even the picky eaters) without any complaints.

How to Make Ground Beef Stir Fry

So, grab your white rice, sharpen those taste buds, and let’s dive into making this incredible Ground Beef Stir-Fry that’s perfect for both new and seasoned cooks. Trust me; your family is going to love this hamburger stir fry with a ginger twist! Let’s get cooking!

Prep Your Rice

You’ll need one cup of uncooked rice to start with– brown or white. I like to use some beef broth in lieu of water to give the rice a stronger flavor.

Save Time & Use Steam Bag Vegetables

Next, you want to steam your veggies. This is a great time-saving step and eliminates an extra dirty pan. Easy peasy!

While the veggies are cooking, start to brown your ground beef. In a separate bowl, make your sauce.

Mix Together and Serve!

Once the veggies and ground beef are cooked through, combine in a large skillet. Pour the sauce over and mix well. Then, add in your green onions and rice.

Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately!

Beef Stir Fry FAQs:

These are a few questions I’ve received about the recipe…

What Can I Substitute in the Ginger Beef Stir Fry?

What I love about this recipe is that as long as you have ground beef and the makings for sauce, you can get creative with what you have on hand!

  • Save time by using refrigerated grated ginger.
  • You could also sub out the white or brown rice for spaghetti. Cook spaghetti as directed and mix in after the sauce step.
  • Could I use chicken or steak? While I haven’t tested swapping out meat in the stir fry recipe, I think you could try it out! Slice both the chicken and/or steak thinly and cook in a large skillet while your vegetables are cooking. Resume the recipe as detailed.

What Vegetables are Good In a Stir Fry?

You really can’t go wrong here! Save time by option for frozen or pre-sliced fresh packages of vegeteables.

  • (Frozen) Onion,
  • Sliced Red Peppers
  • Sliced Mushrooms
  • Carrots.
  • If your family doesn’t enjoy stir fry veggies, you could opt for cut up broccoli florets or steamable in-the-bag broccoli.
  • Baby Corn
  • Frozen bag of Peas & Carrots
