How to Cook Bacon in the Oven
Making bacon is super easy! Here is how to cook bacon in the oven with virtually no prep. Simply pop everything into the oven and enjoy!
I grew up in a home where my mom made a large breakfast every weekend. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, and monkey bread were a part of the menu. And she still does it!
The woman never stops. But it seemed like the bacon always took a large amount of her attention. She trims the fat off each strip ahead of frying. Then, she cooks it in a skillet and can never stop to eat breakfast until the last piece is done! Only a few strips are cooked at a time and she is always keeping an eye out for when it needed to be turned.
I do not have the attention span to watch over bacon, cook eggs, and parent. The thought of frying bacon on the cooktop terrifies me as a mom of two little people. I thought that there HAD to be another way to cook bacon. It’s an occasional indulgence and I wanted it to be less stressful. Bonus points if I could avoid excess grease.
I researched baking bacon and came up with several different results. And I wanted to share the easiest method I could find for how to cook bacon in the oven — and without having to do multiple batches of it.
